About me
My First Blog Post
Hello everyone, welcome to my page!!! My name is Kenneth Mills and I am a Colombian-American 19-year-old living in Miami, Florida. I was born and raised in Miami and have been here all my life. I’m a recent high school graduate attending Florida International University with credits of a Sophomore; due to the Cambridge Program I took part of that prepared me for college courses. I am studying communications in hopes of getting a minor in International Relations and Spanish. Obtaining these will allow me to work in any field that has to do with communications as that it is a very versatile degree and can be used for mainly anything you wish for. On my free time I like to hang out with friends and jam out to latin music. I especially love taking part in spontaneous adventures to familiar or unknown locations. by Kenneth Mills March 3, 2020

Reason for Blog
One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is workout; my favorite workout is swimming. This is a great way to maintain your health and it ultimately gives you something to do when you’re bored. Many tend to dislike working out because it puts them in a state of distress but it actually helps with your mental health and health overall. Throughout this blog, my goal is to help inform the general public on ways to improve their health in all aspects that way they can become a better person. I plan to provide my followers with a discussion on issues with working out and how you can go about overcoming them to help you start your journey. Video examples will be attached so you have a better understanding of how to perform the activity.

Overcome a mental block
One of the most challenging things a person can go through is a mental struggle. I personally struggle with a mental block which prevented me from going out and improving my health for a better me. One thing that for sure helped me was joining a sport in high school which kinda pushed me to go to practice every day. Since I committed to it I am obligated to go and this helped me overcome being lazy and not wanting to go to practice. For those of you guys who are out of high school, I would recommend going out and getting a gym membership and devote at least 3 days of working out for 30 minutes to start off; after about 2 weeks you can increase the number of times you go in a week. If you don’t want to do that try to involve yourself in your local community in a specific activity that will keep you active.

For Beginners
To begin working out I recommend that you start off with something more on the light side because you don’t want to overdo yourself and end up hurting something in your body. Believe me, a cramp is something you don’t want to get, you especially don’t want to tear a muscle. Some great exercises that you can start off doing to help get into the fitness life are push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and jumping jacks. By doing all these you will train your body’s muscles to be more active and it’ll help you transition into more mediocre and eventually intense workouts. Getting into Weights
Once you have gotten your body use to working out and you’re not getting sore it would be the perfect time to move on to more moderate to intense workouts that involve weights so you can start to build more muscle and improve your physique. I personally moved onto doing weights since I was working out for a while and I decided it was time to get more muscles and look stronger. In the attached pictures below, you can see how the people in the pictures are using free weights to help improve strength and muscle amount. Performing these exercises builds muscles, helps physique and provides more mental health stability.
